Another Lydia here. I was named after a nun who was a friend of the family. And I am very happy to have St Lydia as a titular saint. She is a strong inpiration in her character and life to any young girl or woman who is named after her.

St. Lydia the purple seller, I read about you in the Acts of the Apostles. You are a tribute to womankind for having the discretion and grace of becoming St.Paul's first apostle.Pray for all women to contribute to the life of the local parish. Give me the grace to be diligent, devoted and daring in my service to God. Amen.
