Abbot and missionary to the Picts, sometimes called Malrubius or Maelrubha. He was born in Ireland and became a monk under St. Comgall at Bangor. Maelrubius also stayed at lona before going to Scotland in 671. He founded Applecross parish in Ross and evangelized the region for more than haIfa century, converting the Picts.
