Bishop and reformer, also known as Hildebrand. He was born in Sorrivoli, Italy. Appointed provost of Rimini, he preached against the baneful and corrupting influences of his era. His sermons roused many, and Aldebrandus had to flee on one occasion to avoid an angry mob. In 1170 he was named the bishop of Fosombrone, Italy. He is patron of that city.
