The BIG Obama lie nobody caught on Tuesday

Nobody except Planned Parenthood and Catholics.

Obama has been caught in another lie. During Tuesday's presidential debate, Obama remorselessly supported Planned Parenthood, saying women rely on them for mammograms.

A lie is a lie, no matter how sweet it sounds.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - In fact, according to the Food and Drug Administration, NO Planned Parenthood facilities are licensed to perform mammograms.
"When Gov. Romney says that we should eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood, there are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for not just contraceptive care; they rely on it for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings. That's a pocketbook issue for women and families all across the country, and it makes a difference in terms of how well and effectively women are able to work," Obama lied.

In reality, no Planned Parenthood facility in the US even has mammogram equipment.

The FDA regulates and licenses mammogram facilities in the US, and such machines cannot be owned and operated without an FDA license. The FDA records indicate that no Planned Parenthood facility has such a license.

Planned Parenthood does, in fact, refer women seeking mammograms to other, non-Planned Parenthood facilities.

So, why the lie?

One can only speculate, however based on past statements, including the HHS edict issued last year requiring private and religious employers to provide contraception and abortifacients to women for free, on demand, shows how badly misguided Obama is.

Either we must accept that the President looked every American in the eye and told them a direct lie, which is not only unbecoming, but also evil, or we must consider the possibility that he simply does not know better.

Obama's faith, whatever it might be, does not properly inform him of the importance and primacy of life as an issue.

Rather, the President sees life as beginning at birth, against all understandings of human biology and he refuses to see otherwise. Furthermore, he is using the man-made, artificially contrived "right to choose" as a means of soliciting votes.

In reality, we do not have a right to choose beyond which point we engage in activity that may produce a child. It is our Creator who then chooses life for us. This is what natural law, reflected in biology, tells us.

Ultimately, Americans must carefully decide who they want in the Oval Office. Do Americans desire a man who is either evil, or so poorly informed and misguided that he cannot help but do harm? Or do we desire someone who is at least informed by a faith that is consistent with natural law on the issue of life?

The answers to such questions are fundamental and profound. We would do well to consider them very carefully before stepping into the voting booth this November.

how come the video doesn't really say anything bad about Obama like the article does? We really need to pray for this election. I feel that this election really is the most important we've ever had; our freedoms are at stake with Obama in office. But I hope he changes for the better:)

I have been reading all these comments about an elected official of our country. I can see how disrespectful all of you can be toward him. The only thing I add I am a true catholic went on several missions and help others as much as I can. Remember one thing Jesus when He was on earth he deliberately left out politic "Give to Ceasar what belong to Ceasar and to God what belong to God" Disliking this gentlemen has nothing to do the issues that you are all talking about the were there before him and they still be there after him. Those moral issues is up to us catholic and the Clergy to influence. That shall not judge and kill don't people still doing that. Have some respect this you president he may be the right color he is a smart educated human being being who is trying his best to serve his country. My heart ache as Jesus is aching to see where we still are in this day and age. May God bless all of us.

Theresa H: I shudder to think what is coming our way if Obama gets re-elected. I have heard and seen him do the same things that you are talking about. I pray that more Catholics have awakened. Obama will still get the Catholic vote but I'm hoping not as many as he got the last time around. Did you see "2016"? If people see that movie with an open mind, I don't know how anyone could vote for him, let alone a second time. I just pray that if Romney does manage to pull off a win, I hope it's with a considerable margin. Obama and his "legion" will never go down without a fight. They have come too close to accomplishing their goal to lose now. "The event is in the Hands of God now." Geroge Washington Keep up the wonderful posts. I really enjoy them. God bless.

JoAnn, we are on the same page re. Pres. Obama. Just looking at all he's said and done as President, particularly related to the Life issues and the Family: promotion of abortion and contraceptives via Planned Parenthood Funding, etc., and Oversees Funding for the same to poor nations, blatantly declared refusal to uphold the Defense of Marriage Act--which is current law, trouncing on Freedom of Religion (not "from" Religion), etc.. He acts like an emperor or a king, not a President of the USA. I've seen/heard him on TV leave out the name of God in the "Pledge" and when he quoted the Constitution Pre-amble, leave out "endowed by our Creator"....There are just too many things we've both "seen" and "heard" him say and do that are totally un-American, totally contrary to traditional American values--to the extent that "America" does still value them....? (One wonders how many adult Americans still hold our traditional American-religion-based-values anymore; are they even being taught to all our children in the home and/or at school by-and-large anymore? The Ten Commandments have been removed in many places, our Judges no longer say: "....so help me God..." in the courtroom. As for Freedom of Religion (not "from" Religion): look at the newest thing the President is imposing on the Churches and Christians....For sure, if we have "four more years"-- Well, I wonder if we all might hear that "most beautiful sound" all over our nation--"under Allah!" Yes, "religious liberty" for all must be respected, but most Muslims (not all) don't respect other religions--and neither does our President.... He says one thing one day (e.g., at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast) and does the opposite the day before and the day after--as he upholds his anti-Christian Healthcare Law, etc.. One can go on and on. No doubt, no man is perfect, but this man.... I wonder what next--if he gets back in the White House?

Rob: Like I said, I believe for every true Catholic, the most beautiful sound that we ever hear is "Behold the Lamb of God, Behold Him who takes away the sin of the world." I believe that trumps an Islamic call to prayer for true Catholics. The fact that Obama claims he is a Christian is a bold-faced lie. That's the point I was making in reality. God bless.

Seriously JoAnn? Maybe it was melodic? Who knows why he said it? And I'm not sure under what authority you make that statement that restricts what a Christian get's to coin as beautiful? It was hardly a statement of doctrine. These kind of statements sound more like the pharisee trying to justify themselves....thank goodness I'm not like that tax collector, I would never say that was beautiful. Geez.

The Big Obama Lie? Which one? We have quite a few to choose from. Obama as a 2008 candidate and his presidency is One Big Lie and a Fraud. Four people were unnecessarily murdered in Libya because this little anti-American slug. Yes, I'm using hard language because the souls of the murdered victims are using harsher language than mine.

Rob, It seems to me that Obama's comment is inflammatory, because it wrongfully focuses attention on what would otherwise be a legitimate service. In reality, Planned Parenthood doesn't provide mammograms, and the all-too-real significance of 300,000+ abortions/year was completely overlooked. The American public might be sympathetic toward an organization that provides mammograms, but the public is much less supportive of an organization that kills so many innocent lives. Shame on Obama for misleading the American public.

Most Catholics using the conscience provided us in living our faith by the timeless truths of the gospels and doctrines of the church see a clear choice in candidates for president.
But for many of our Catholic brethren that is not enough. They vary from simply liberals at heart or refuse to take sides hanging on for things like the total restriction of all abortions or even want to retain Obamacare saying it is necessary as a social justice measure or go so far as to say same sex marriage is just being fair because we can not deny some homosexuals are born that way. It seems they are waiting for the Pope to appear on the presidential ballot and most of the hierarchy are running for congress. On the other hand you and most of rest of us realize that until Christ comes again (and we pray soon) we have to do the best we can to control the very dire situation we as Americans are in due to the years of capitulation of Christian values to the progressive liberal agenda which has been taken over by Marxist socialism now lead by Barack Obama and practicing Catholics like Nancy Pelosi and the very charming but deadly dictator running the HHS, Kathleen Sebelius forcing our Catholic institutions to set aside their religious conscience and provide under threat of fines contraception and abortions for their employees. God Bless the straglers but we must press on without them to hopefully preserve America for them and our own grandchildren.
