What's next? UC students separate themselves from America while hatred of Jews spreads through campus

The University of California Student Association board passed the resolution to divest from both Israel and America.

The University of California Student Association board, which represents all of 233,000 of the UC student population, approved a resolution to financially divest from the United States. This comes after a previous resolution was passed that divested the UC's from Israel.

Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Reasoning for the resolution is as follows: "The government of the United States of America is engaged in drone strikes that have killed over 2,400 people in Pakistan and Yemen, many of them civilians," the resolution stated, according to The College Fix. "The government oversees, by far, the highest rate of imprisonment in the world, and racial and ethnic minorities are disproportionately targeted by law enforcement agencies, particularly for drug-related offences. 400,000 undocumenteducal immigrants are held in detention centers every year, and millions have been deported since the current administration took office, and the government is directly supporting and propping up numerous dictatorships around the world with weapons sales and foreign aid."

At the forefront of the resolution manifestation are pro-Palestinian student activists.

Help save Christians from genocide in Iraq!

"UC student groups staged a vocal protest during the University of California Student Association (UCSA) meeting, chanting, 'stop the hate, against the only Jewish state,' and holding signs telling the UCSA to 'stop dividing the UCs for an unjust cause,'" StandWithUs reported in a news release pertaining to a divestment from Israel.

"I'm not afraid of passing the resolution. I'm afraid of us leaving here and walking in different directions," one of the day's speakers said to Breitbart News.

Both divestment resolutions were passed with a final vote 9 "yes", 1 "no" and 6 "abstentions."

"I'm not glad that the Israel divestment passed, but at least it passed combined with a resolution which made the anti-Israel students and U. Cal student government look like fools," stated Cornell University law Professor William Jacobson to The College Fix.

According to The College Fix, it is not uncommon for universities' student governments to call for divestment from Israel; UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UC Berkeley, UC Riverside and UC Los Angeles have all passed Israel divestment resolutions.

However, "it is rare to see a call to divest from America itself."

The acceptance of the divesting from America resolution came just days after UC Davis passed a similar movement among large crowds of pro-Palestinian students.

All of this is happening simultaneously with anti-Semitic hatred running rampant throughout UC Davis.

Swastikas have been spray painted on the walls of a Jewish fraternity, "Allahu Akbar," the battle cry of jihadists was chanted after UC Davis passed their divestment from Israel movement and students have taken to social media stating, "Hamas and Shariah law have taken over UC Davis."

Love conquers hatred, spread love now!

A pro-Israel and anti-divestment student from UC San Diego said to Breitbart News that he was "disgraced to be at the UC school. The idea that the Palestinian cause rises to the top of every human rights cause is a disgrace to justice..Palestinian people are facing oppression based on their own government..The issue here is Hamas, the Palestinian Authority and Abbas."

Following the vote, a UC Student Association board member boldly stated, "The UC Regents is next. We're coming Janet Napolitano."
