LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - One tweet from @CENTCOM's twitter feed stated, "ISIS is already here, we are in your PCs, in each military base. With Allah's permission we are in CENTCOM now."

Another tweet said, "AMERICAN SOLDIERS, WE ARE COMING WATCH YOUR BACK."

Other tweets reportedly released images of spreadsheets listing the home addresses, phone numbers and email accounts of current and former Army generals, according to Washington Times.

Cyber Caliphate, the ISIS hackers titled name, hacked the social media accounts of Albuquerque Journal and other newspapers last week. Similar messages were displayed on Albuquerque Journal newspaper's website after they were reportedly hacked the site last month

The White House and Obama administration brushed aside the hacking, downplaying it comparing it to the cyberattack on Sony Pictures in December 2014.

"There is a pretty significant difference between what is a large data breach and the hacking of a Twitter account," White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters in the Washington Times. "We're still examining and investigating the extent of this incident. But I don't have any information beyond that."

The @CENTCOM Twitter account was yanked from Twitter, suspended shortly after 1:00 p.m. ET. The photos posted during the hacking were removed after the suspension.
