LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Health investigators in the UK have made a gruesome discovery that will give you chills every time you feel a blast of warmth in a hospital. According to officials, several state-run hospitals in the UK have admitted to using the bodies of discarded children in incinerators to provide heat for facilities.
According to an investigation covering the past two years, 27 National Health Service hospitals have taken the bodies of 15,500 aborted and miscarried children and used them as heating fuel.
Support a pro-life effort that will fight practices like these with proven techniques that work!
The practice is clearly shocking, even in England where abortion advocates hold significant political sway. It is also obvious that the people participating in these practices do not respect human life, hence their willingness to perform abortions to begin with, and their treatment of human remains as heating fuel.
Needless to say, the civilized world is aghast, yet this is what happens in a culture of death. Even the body is a commodity intended for economical use, as opposed to Christian burial.
UK Health Minister Dan Puolter made a statement saying "this practice is totally unacceptable." He continued, "While the vast majority of hospitals are acting in the appropriate way, that must be the case for all hospitals and the Human Tissue Authority has now been asked to ensure that it acts on this issue without delay."
Adding insult to injury, many of the mothers, according t the report, were told their children's bodies had been "cremated."
Human remains, including that of fetuses, is subject to special disposal guidelines in the UK. Mothers are also supposed to be given options for the final disposition of their children's bodies. Instead, mothers were not given options and were simply told the bodies would be cremated.
Most bodies were labeled "clinical waste" and incinerated with the garbage.
Fortunately, this practice, now exposed, should come to an end. Nonetheless, it is a gruesome look into the culture of death and what happens to human attitudes when such a culture becomes the "norm."
